What do commercial & industrial rooflights involve?
Commercial & industrial rooflights in Durham means rooflights for warehouses, schools, offices and retail units. Every quote follows a survey of the roof and the room below.
Coastal exposure along the North East means we look closely at frame finishes and seals. Older flat-roofed extensions in the North East are often due a new roof covering — the right time to upgrade the rooflight too.

Planning and building rules in England
For non-domestic buildings, planning depends on the building and its location; building regulations cover thermal performance and the fire classification of rooflights near boundaries. We confirm the route for your building before ordering.
For buildings other than dwellings, Approved Document L Volume 2 sets limiting U-values of 2.2 W/m²K for rooflights and 3.0 W/m²K for roof ventilators, including smoke vents. Fragile-roof safety and access are planned before work starts.
