What are skylight repairs & leak fixes?
Skylight repairs cover the faults that develop in rooflights over time: leaks at the upstand or seals, condensation, misted glass units, failed actuators and rain sensors, broken hinges and storm damage.
The first job on any leak is to find where water is really getting in. On flat roofs, it is more often the membrane or the upstand than the rooflight itself.
We diagnose, explain the options and price the repair, and we tell you honestly when replacement makes more sense.

Skylight repairs & leak fixes: common questions
Why is my skylight leaking?
Common causes are a failed seal, a membrane that has split or lifted at the upstand, a low upstand, blocked drainage or condensation mistaken for a leak.
Is it condensation or a leak?
Condensation forms on the inside face on cold days and comes back in the same pattern. A leak appears when it rains and often tracks down the reveal.
Can you repair an electric rooflight that will not open?
Often, yes — actuators, controllers and rain sensors can be replaced if parts are available.
Do you charge for repair visits?
Yes, repairs are charged. We give the price before the visit.
Can you fix a misted rooflight?
A misted unit means the glass seal has failed. The sealed unit, or the whole rooflight, needs replacing.
Do you repair roof windows too?
Yes — flashings, seals, hinges and glass on pitched roof windows.
