Skylights and rooflights across Northamptonshire
Skylights, roof lanterns and roof windows fitted throughout Northamptonshire, from Northampton to Kettering, after a survey and a fixed written quote.
Midlands housing is a mix of Victorian terraces, inter-war semis and newer estates, and rear kitchen extensions with flat rooflights are a common upgrade.
Industrial and commercial units around Midlands towns often still have their original rooflight sheets, which are due for replacement.

Planning and building rules in England
In England a rooflight on a house is usually permitted development under Class C if it projects no more than 150 mm beyond the roof slope and sits no higher than the ridge. Listed buildings need listed building consent, flats have no householder permitted development rights, and an Article 4 direction can remove the rights in some conservation areas.
For English homes the energy rules ask for rooflights of 2.2 W/m²K or better and roof windows of 1.4 W/m²K (or WER Band B); most modern double glazed units meet both. The Future Homes and Buildings Standards, published in March 2026, apply from 24 March 2027 and keep the 2.2 W/m²K limit for rooflights.

Common questions
Do you cover all of Northamptonshire?
Yes. We survey and fit across Northamptonshire, including Northampton, Corby and Kettering. Remote and island addresses are by arrangement.
Do I need planning permission for a rooflight in Northamptonshire?
In England a rooflight on a house is usually permitted development under Class C if it projects no more than 150 mm beyond the roof slope and sits no higher than the ridge.
What guarantees do I get?
Products carry the manufacturer's own warranty, which we pass to you with the product data. Our workmanship terms are set out in the quote.
Will a rooflight make my room too hot?
It can on a south-facing roof with clear glass. Solar-control glass, an opening unit and a blind keep the room comfortable.
Do you take a deposit?
Nothing is paid until you accept a written quote. Made-to-measure products are ordered after you accept, we tell you in writing when the order is placed, and the quote states the payment stages.
