Commercial & industrial rooflights in Farnworth: what is involved?
Thinking about commercial & industrial rooflights in Farnworth? The short answer: rooflights for warehouses, schools, offices and retail units. The longer answer depends on your roof, which is why we survey before we price.
Rear kitchen extensions on North West semis often have small domes from decades ago that leak or have yellowed. In Farnworth, as anywhere, commercial & industrial rooflights are the usual choice for warehouses, schools, offices and retail units.
Farnworth sits about 4 km from Walkden and 4 km from Bolton, and we cover the whole BL4 postcode district and the roads in between.

Building control and safety duties in Farnworth
For non-domestic buildings, planning depends on the building and its location; building regulations cover thermal performance and the fire classification of rooflights near boundaries. We confirm the route for your building before ordering.
For buildings other than dwellings, Approved Document L Volume 2 sets limiting U-values of 2.2 W/m²K for rooflights and 3.0 W/m²K for roof ventilators, including smoke vents. Fragile-roof safety and access are planned before work starts.
See our building regulations guide for U-values, glazing limits and self-certification.
