Commercial & industrial rooflights in the Scottish Borders: the essentials
Commercial & industrial rooflights in the Scottish Borders means rooflights for warehouses, schools, offices and retail units. Every quote follows a survey of the roof and the room below.
Short winter days in Scotland make every square metre of overhead glass count, so rooflight sizing matters. Scottish weather is hard on roofs, so we specify rooflights and roof windows with exposure in mind and fit upstands with generous heights.

Planning and building rules in Scotland
On commercial roofs the main questions are usually building control, fire classification of rooflight materials and safe access rather than householder permitted development. We confirm the route for your building before ordering.
For non-domestic buildings in Scotland, the non-domestic Technical Handbook (section 6) sets the energy standards for rooflights; we supply the manufacturer's data for the building warrant. Fragile-roof safety and access are planned before work starts.
