Dome rooflights in Worcestershire: the essentials
Our dome rooflights service in Worcestershire covers polycarbonate and acrylic domes for flat roofs, new or replacement. We survey every job before fixing the price.
Industrial and commercial units around Midlands towns often still have their original rooflight sheets, which are due for replacement. Many Midlands semis have had a single-storey rear extension added, and a larger flat rooflight or lantern is often the change that makes it feel finished.

Planning and building rules in England
On commercial roofs the main questions are usually building control, fire classification of rooflight materials and safe access rather than householder permitted development. Product data for building control is supplied with every quote.
For buildings other than dwellings, Approved Document L Volume 2 sets limiting U-values of 2.2 W/m²K for rooflights and 3.0 W/m²K for roof ventilators, including smoke vents. Fragile-roof safety and access are planned before work starts.
Guide prices
These are typical supply-and-fit ranges. For an address in Worcestershire, scaffold, a hoist for heavy glass, or a new structural opening can move the figure, which is why we survey first.

How the job runs
- Tell us about the roof. Send the postcode, rough sizes and a photo or two through the form, WhatsApp or the guide-price tool.
- Free survey. For new installations a surveyor measures the opening, checks the roof build-up and talks through glass and options.
- Fixed written quote. You get the product, the work and the price in writing. Nothing is ordered or paid for until you agree.
- Fitting and handover. We fit, seal and make good, then hand over product data, warranties and any certificate paperwork.

Common questions
Do domes leak?
Leaks are usually at the upstand seal or the membrane. Replacing the dome and resealing often fixes it.
Can you replace just the dome?
Yes, if the upstand is sound and the size matches. Otherwise we replace both.
Should I replace a dome or switch to glass?
A dome is cheaper and quick; glass gives a clear view and better performance. On a tight budget, or a commercial roof with many units, domes remain sensible.
Can domes open?
Hinged and vented domes are available, manual or electric.
Do you fit dome rooflights across Worcestershire?
Yes. We survey and fit dome rooflights across Worcestershire, including Worcester, Redditch, Kidderminster.
