How we approach dome rooflights in Evesham
Our dome rooflights service in Evesham covers polycarbonate and acrylic domes for flat roofs, new or replacement. Every job starts with a survey of the opening, the roof covering and the room below, and a fixed written price.
Midlands housing is a mix of Victorian terraces, inter-war semis and newer estates, and rear kitchen extensions with flat rooflights are a common upgrade. Dome rooflights suit older flat roofs with yellowed or leaking domes.
We work across Worcestershire, including Evesham, and in neighbouring towns such as Alcester and Tewkesbury. Access, parking and how the glass reaches the roof are all checked at the survey.

- Plastic domes have a lower acoustic and thermal performance than glass
Building control and safety duties in Evesham
For non-domestic buildings, planning depends on the building and its location; building regulations cover thermal performance and the fire classification of rooflights near boundaries. We confirm the route for your building before ordering.
For buildings other than dwellings, Approved Document L Volume 2 sets limiting U-values of 2.2 W/m²K for rooflights and 3.0 W/m²K for roof ventilators, including smoke vents. Fragile-roof safety and access are planned before work starts.
See our building regulations guide for U-values, glazing limits and self-certification.

Common questions
Do domes leak?
Leaks are usually at the upstand seal or the membrane. Replacing the dome and resealing often fixes it.
Can you replace just the dome?
Yes, if the upstand is sound and the size matches. Otherwise we replace both.
Are domes safe to walk on?
No. Treat any rooflight as fragile unless it is specifically certified non-fragile, and never stand on it.
Do you fit dome rooflights in Evesham?
Yes. We survey and fit dome rooflights in Evesham and across Worcestershire. Send your postcode and we will offer a survey date when we reply.
Do I need to be at home for the survey in Evesham?
Yes — someone needs to let us into the room below and, where possible, show us how the roof is reached.
