What do dome rooflights in Stratford-upon-Avon involve?
For Stratford-upon-Avon homes and buildings we offer dome rooflights: polycarbonate and acrylic domes for flat roofs, new or replacement. We measure first, specify to the opening and confirm any planning or building-control points before quoting.
Midlands housing is a mix of Victorian terraces, inter-war semis and newer estates, and rear kitchen extensions with flat rooflights are a common upgrade. Think of dome rooflights for schools, flats and commercial flat roofs.
We work across Warwickshire, including Stratford-upon-Avon, and in neighbouring towns such as Alcester and Warwick. Access, parking and how the glass reaches the roof are all checked at the survey.
What you can choose
- Insulated PVC or GRP upstands
- Fall-through protection mesh
- Twin, triple or quad skin
- Clear, opal or tinted
- Polycarbonate or acrylic
- Light, impact-resistant domes
- Quick replacement on existing upstands
Before you order: points to check
- Old domes may be fragile — treat as fragile until checked
- Fire classification matters on some roofs
Building control and safety duties in Stratford-upon-Avon
On commercial roofs the main questions are usually building control, fire classification of rooflight materials and safe access rather than householder permitted development. We confirm the route for your building before ordering.
For buildings other than dwellings, Approved Document L Volume 2 sets limiting U-values of 2.2 W/m²K for rooflights and 3.0 W/m²K for roof ventilators, including smoke vents. Fragile-roof safety and access are planned before work starts.
See our building regulations guide for U-values, glazing limits and self-certification.
