What do sun tunnels & tubular skylights in Arbroath involve?
Our sun tunnels & tubular skylights service in Arbroath covers light pipes that bring daylight to halls and bathrooms with no window. Every job starts with a survey of the opening, the roof covering and the room below, and a fixed written price.
Tenements and flats are common in Scottish towns and cities, where rooflights over stairwells and top-floor flats need the owners' and factor's agreement. Sun tunnels & tubular skylights suit windowless hallways, landings and bathrooms.
From Arbroath to Carnoustie, Montrose and Brechin, the same survey-first process applies: measure, specify, fix the price, then fit.

Consents for sun tunnels & tubular skylights in Arbroath
Planning rules in Scotland differ: rooflights are treated as external alterations under Class 2B, with no permitted development in conservation areas. Flats and tenements are outside householder permitted development, so check with the planning authority first.
Scottish energy standards for glazing, including rooflights, use an area-weighted average of 1.4–1.6 W/m²K in extensions, so most modern units comply comfortably. Replacing a rooflight, frame included, does not need a building warrant, but the work must still meet the building standards.
