Bespoke & shaped rooflights for Newquay: the essentials
We handle bespoke & shaped rooflights across Cornwall, including Newquay. In short: triangular, angled, curved and multi-pane rooflights made to measure. The survey checks structure, weathering and orientation, so the quote reflects your actual roof.
Barn and chapel conversions in the South West often need bespoke or shaped rooflights to suit the original structure. Typical uses for bespoke & shaped rooflights include openings that standard sizes do not fit.
From Newquay to Truro, St Austell and Redruth, the same survey-first process applies: measure, specify, fix the price, then fit.

Planning, building control and Newquay
In England a rooflight on a house is usually permitted development under Class C if it projects no more than 150 mm beyond the roof slope and sits no higher than the ridge. A rooflight on a side-facing slope must be obscure-glazed, and fixed shut unless the opening part is more than 1.7 m above the floor.
Under Approved Document L, a rooflight added to an English home must achieve at least 2.2 W/m²K (horizontal plane), and a roof window 1.4 W/m²K or Window Energy Rating Band B. The Future Homes and Buildings Standards, published in March 2026, apply from 24 March 2027 and keep the 2.2 W/m²K limit for rooflights.
Read the planning permission guide before you commit to a design.

Questions about bespoke & shaped rooflights in Newquay
Can I cancel a bespoke order?
Made-to-measure goods are excluded from the statutory 14-day cancellation right. As a goodwill gesture you can cancel without charge until we place the order with the manufacturer, and we tell you in writing when that happens.
Can bespoke units open?
Some can. Shaped glass is usually fixed, combined with a standard opening unit elsewhere.
Do you need my architect's drawings?
They help. We still survey on site, because built openings rarely match drawings exactly.
Do you offer bespoke & shaped rooflights in Newquay?
Yes. We carry out bespoke & shaped rooflights in Newquay and across Cornwall. Send your postcode and we will offer a survey date when we reply.
Is the survey in Newquay free?
Yes for new installations. Repair visits are charged, and we tell you the price before we book.
