What are bespoke & shaped rooflights?
Our bespoke & shaped rooflights service in County Armagh covers triangular, angled, curved and multi-pane rooflights made to measure. We survey every job before fixing the price.
Many Northern Irish homes have later flat-roofed kitchen extensions where an old dome can be swapped for glass. Conservation areas and listed buildings in Northern Ireland are excluded from householder permitted development, so we check before quoting.

Most rooflights on houses in Northern Ireland are permitted development under Class B, but not in a conservation area or on a listed building's curtilage. Listed buildings also need listed building consent from the council.
For homes in Northern Ireland, Technical Booklet F1 sets 1.6 W/m²K (or WER Band C) for replacement glazing including rooflights. Extensions follow a 25% glazing allowance in Technical Booklet F1.

How the job runs
- Tell us about the roof. Send the postcode, rough sizes and a photo or two through the form, WhatsApp or the guide-price tool.
- Free survey. For new installations a surveyor measures the opening, checks the roof build-up and talks through glass and options.
- Fixed written quote. You get the product, the work and the price in writing. Nothing is ordered or paid for until you agree.
- Fitting and handover. We fit, seal and make good, then hand over product data, warranties and any certificate paperwork.

Common questions
Why does bespoke take longer?
Each unit is drawn, checked and manufactured to order.
Can I cancel a bespoke order?
Made-to-measure goods are excluded from the statutory 14-day cancellation right. As a goodwill gesture you can cancel without charge until we place the order with the manufacturer, and we tell you in writing when that happens.
Can any shape be made?
Most straight-edged shapes can be made in glass, within the manufacturer's size and angle limits. Curved glass is possible but specialist.
Can bespoke units open?
Some can. Shaped glass is usually fixed, combined with a standard opening unit elsewhere.
