Bespoke & shaped rooflights in Newry: what is involved?
For Newry homes and buildings we offer bespoke & shaped rooflights: triangular, angled, curved and multi-pane rooflights made to measure. We measure first, specify to the opening and confirm any planning or building-control points before quoting.
Conservation areas and listed buildings in Northern Ireland are excluded from householder permitted development, so we check before quoting. Think of bespoke & shaped rooflights for angled ceilings, corners and architect-designed extensions.
Neighbouring towns include Keady (25 km) and Portadown (28 km). We offer a survey date when we reply to your enquiry.

Planning, building control and Newry
In Northern Ireland, roof alterations come under Class B of the 2015 order: a rooflight facing a road must not project more than 15 cm and must sit at least 0.5 m from the ridge, eaves, verge and party wall. Listed buildings also need listed building consent from the council.
Northern Ireland's energy rules assess rooflight U-values in the vertical position — unlike England and Wales — and expect 1.6 W/m²K or Band C for replacements. New dwellings must average 1.40 W/m²K across windows, roof windows and rooflights.
See our building regulations guide for U-values, glazing limits and self-certification.

Bespoke & shaped rooflights in Newry: questions
Why does bespoke take longer?
Each unit is drawn, checked and manufactured to order.
Can any shape be made?
Most straight-edged shapes can be made in glass, within the manufacturer's size and angle limits. Curved glass is possible but specialist.
Can I cancel a bespoke order?
Made-to-measure goods are excluded from the statutory 14-day cancellation right. As a goodwill gesture you can cancel without charge until we place the order with the manufacturer, and we tell you in writing when that happens.
Can you work alongside my builder in Newry?
Yes. On new extensions we fit once the opening and upstand are ready and coordinate dates with your builder.
Is the survey in Newry free?
Yes for new installations. Repair visits are charged, and we tell you the price before we book.
