What do bespoke & shaped rooflights in Falkirk involve?
Thinking about bespoke & shaped rooflights in Falkirk? The short answer: triangular, angled, curved and multi-pane rooflights made to measure. The longer answer depends on your roof, which is why we survey before we price.
Stone villas, cottages and conservation areas across Scotland often call for conservation rooflights in slate roofs. Bespoke & shaped rooflights suit angled ceilings, corners and architect-designed extensions.
Jobs in Falkirk are planned around access: whether the roof can be reached from the garden, whether a hoist or crane is needed, and where we can park. We check this when we measure.

Planning and building rules for Falkirk
Planning rules in Scotland differ: rooflights are treated as external alterations under Class 2B, with no permitted development in conservation areas. Flats and tenements are outside householder permitted development, so check with the planning authority first.
Scottish energy standards for glazing, including rooflights, use an area-weighted average of 1.4–1.6 W/m²K in extensions, so most modern units comply comfortably. Replacing a rooflight, frame included, does not need a building warrant, but the work must still meet the building standards.
