How we approach commercial & industrial rooflights in Notting Hill
Our commercial & industrial rooflights service in Notting Hill covers rooflights for warehouses, schools, offices and retail units. Every job starts with a survey of the opening, the roof covering and the room below, and a fixed written price.
Party walls are a fact of life in London terraces, and rooflights close to a shared wall need detailing that keeps the neighbour's side dry too. In Notting Hill, as anywhere, commercial & industrial rooflights are the usual choice for warehouses, schools, offices and retail units.
Notting Hill sits about 1 km from Shepherds Bush and 2 km from Kensington, and we cover the whole W11 postcode district and the roads in between.

Regulations for commercial & industrial rooflights in Notting Hill
On commercial roofs the main questions are usually building control, fire classification of rooflight materials and safe access rather than householder permitted development. We confirm the route for your building before ordering.
For buildings other than dwellings, Approved Document L Volume 2 sets limiting U-values of 2.2 W/m²K for rooflights and 3.0 W/m²K for roof ventilators, including smoke vents. Fire classification of rooflight materials near boundaries is checked at specification.
See our building regulations guide for U-values, glazing limits and self-certification.
