Commercial & industrial rooflights for Frome: the essentials
For Frome homes and buildings we offer commercial & industrial rooflights: rooflights for warehouses, schools, offices and retail units. We measure first, specify to the opening and confirm any planning or building-control points before quoting.
Stone cottages, slate roofs and conservation areas are common in the South West, and conservation-profile rooflights keep the roofline quiet. Commercial & industrial rooflights suit industrial roofs with tired or fragile rooflight sheets.
Neighbouring towns include Warminster (10 km) and Trowbridge (13 km). We offer a survey date when we reply to your enquiry.
What you can choose
- Mesh or grilles under fragile areas
- Modular glass rooflights
- GRP or polycarbonate in-plane rooflight sheets
- Polycarbonate domes
- Continuous barrel-vault rooflights
- Barrel vaults, ridge lights and modular glass
- Smoke-vent options where needed
Things we check at survey
- Asbestos surveys may be needed on older roofs
- Fragile rooflights are a known fall hazard — work at height must be planned
Rules and responsibilities in Frome
On commercial roofs the main questions are usually building control, fire classification of rooflight materials and safe access rather than householder permitted development. Product data for building control is supplied with every quote.
For buildings other than dwellings, Approved Document L Volume 2 sets limiting U-values of 2.2 W/m²K for rooflights and 3.0 W/m²K for roof ventilators, including smoke vents. Fragile-roof safety and access are planned before work starts.
Our planning guide covers each nation in more detail.

Some units are certified smoke ventilators. See our smoke-vent rooflights page.
Do you supply O&M information?
Yes — product data, manufacturer warranties and maintenance notes are handed over at completion.
Are old rooflights a safety risk?
