How we approach commercial & industrial rooflights in Marlborough
Thinking about commercial & industrial rooflights in Marlborough? The short answer: rooflights for warehouses, schools, offices and retail units. The longer answer depends on your roof, which is why we survey before we price.
Western coasts take wind-driven rain, so we pay close attention to upstand height and flashing laps on exposed roofs. Think of commercial & industrial rooflights for industrial roofs with tired or fragile rooflight sheets.
Marlborough is around 16 km from Swindon, and we survey and fit throughout that part of Wiltshire, including the SN8 district.
What you can choose
- GRP or polycarbonate in-plane rooflight sheets
- Polycarbonate domes
- Smoke and natural ventilation vents
- Mesh or grilles under fragile areas
- Continuous barrel-vault rooflights
- Fall-protection planning included
- Planned around working sites
Before you order: points to check
- Fire performance of rooflight materials matters near boundaries
- Fragile rooflights are a known fall hazard — work at height must be planned
Rules and responsibilities in Marlborough
For non-domestic buildings, planning depends on the building and its location; building regulations cover thermal performance and the fire classification of rooflights near boundaries. Product data for building control is supplied with every quote.
For buildings other than dwellings, Approved Document L Volume 2 sets limiting U-values of 2.2 W/m²K for rooflights and 3.0 W/m²K for roof ventilators, including smoke vents. Fragile-roof safety and access are planned before work starts.
See our building regulations guide for U-values, glazing limits and self-certification.
