How we approach dome rooflights in Prestwich
Our dome rooflights service in Prestwich covers polycarbonate and acrylic domes for flat roofs, new or replacement. Every job starts with a survey of the opening, the roof covering and the room below, and a fixed written price.
Converted mills and warehouses in the North West often have large rooflights or glass roofs that need specialist replacement. Think of dome rooflights for schools, flats and commercial flat roofs.
We work across Greater Manchester, including Prestwich, and in neighbouring towns such as Whitefield and Radcliffe. Access, parking and how the glass reaches the roof are all checked at the survey.

Rules and responsibilities in Prestwich
On commercial roofs the main questions are usually building control, fire classification of rooflight materials and safe access rather than householder permitted development. We confirm the route for your building before ordering.
For buildings other than dwellings, Approved Document L Volume 2 sets limiting U-values of 2.2 W/m²K for rooflights and 3.0 W/m²K for roof ventilators, including smoke vents. Fragile-roof safety and access are planned before work starts.
Read the planning permission guide before you commit to a design.
