Dome rooflights in Dartford: what is involved?
Our dome rooflights service in Dartford covers polycarbonate and acrylic domes for flat roofs, new or replacement. Every job starts with a survey of the opening, the roof covering and the room below, and a fixed written price.
Many South East homes have been extended more than once, and an old dome over an earlier extension is often due for replacement. In Dartford, as anywhere, dome rooflights are the usual choice for schools, flats and commercial flat roofs.
Jobs in Dartford are planned around access: whether the roof can be reached from the garden, whether a hoist or crane is needed, and where we can park. We check this when we measure.

Building control and safety duties in Dartford
On commercial roofs the main questions are usually building control, fire classification of rooflight materials and safe access rather than householder permitted development. We confirm the route for your building before ordering.
For buildings other than dwellings, Approved Document L Volume 2 sets limiting U-values of 2.2 W/m²K for rooflights and 3.0 W/m²K for roof ventilators, including smoke vents. Fire classification of rooflight materials near boundaries is checked at specification.
Our planning guide covers each nation in more detail.
