How we approach dome rooflights in Burntwood
Thinking about dome rooflights in Burntwood? The short answer: polycarbonate and acrylic domes for flat roofs, new or replacement. The longer answer depends on your roof, which is why we survey before we price.
Industrial and commercial units around Midlands towns often still have their original rooflight sheets, which are due for replacement. Typical uses for dome rooflights include schools, flats and commercial flat roofs.
Burntwood sits about 7 km from Lichfield and 7 km from Cannock, and we cover the whole WS7 postcode district and the roads in between.

Building control and safety duties in Burntwood
On commercial roofs the main questions are usually building control, fire classification of rooflight materials and safe access rather than householder permitted development. We confirm the route for your building before ordering.
For buildings other than dwellings, Approved Document L Volume 2 sets limiting U-values of 2.2 W/m²K for rooflights and 3.0 W/m²K for roof ventilators, including smoke vents. Fire classification of rooflight materials near boundaries is checked at specification.

Questions about dome rooflights in Burntwood
Can you replace just the dome?
Yes, if the upstand is sound and the size matches. Otherwise we replace both.
Can domes open?
Hinged and vented domes are available, manual or electric.
Should I replace a dome or switch to glass?
A dome is cheaper and quick; glass gives a clear view and better performance. On a tight budget, or a commercial roof with many units, domes remain sensible.
Do you fit dome rooflights in Burntwood?
Yes. We survey and fit dome rooflights in Burntwood and across Staffordshire. Send your postcode and we will offer a survey date when we reply.
Can you work alongside my builder in Burntwood?
Yes. On new extensions we fit once the opening and upstand are ready and coordinate dates with your builder.
