Dome rooflights in Castleford: what is involved?
We handle dome rooflights across West Yorkshire, including Castleford. In short: polycarbonate and acrylic domes for flat roofs, new or replacement. The survey checks structure, weathering and orientation, so the quote reflects your actual roof.
Conservation areas and stone villages across Yorkshire often call for conservation rooflights in slate or stone-slate roofs. Typical uses for dome rooflights include older flat roofs with yellowed or leaking domes.
We work across West Yorkshire, including Castleford, and in neighbouring towns such as Pontefract and Lofthouse. Access, parking and how the glass reaches the roof are all checked at the survey.

Regulations for dome rooflights in Castleford
For non-domestic buildings, planning depends on the building and its location; building regulations cover thermal performance and the fire classification of rooflights near boundaries. Product data for building control is supplied with every quote.
For buildings other than dwellings, Approved Document L Volume 2 sets limiting U-values of 2.2 W/m²K for rooflights and 3.0 W/m²K for roof ventilators, including smoke vents. Fire classification of rooflight materials near boundaries is checked at specification.
See our building regulations guide for U-values, glazing limits and self-certification.
