Skylights and rooflights across Norfolk
We survey, supply and fit skylights and rooflights across Norfolk, including Norwich, Great Yarmouth and King's Lynn.
Many homes in the East have low-pitched roofs on later extensions, which are better served by flat rooflights than pitched roof windows.
Coastal towns in the East of England see salty air, so we specify frame finishes and fixings with exposure in mind.

Planning and building rules in England
Most rooflights on English houses do not need planning permission, provided they keep within 150 mm of the roof surface and below the ridge line. Listed buildings need listed building consent, flats have no householder permitted development rights, and an Article 4 direction can remove the rights in some conservation areas.
For English homes the energy rules ask for rooflights of 2.2 W/m²K or better and roof windows of 1.4 W/m²K (or WER Band B); most modern double glazed units meet both. The Future Homes and Buildings Standards, published in March 2026, apply from 24 March 2027 and keep the 2.2 W/m²K limit for rooflights.

Common questions
Do you cover all of Norfolk?
Yes. We survey and fit across Norfolk, including Norwich, Great Yarmouth and King's Lynn. Remote and island addresses are by arrangement.
Do I need planning permission for a rooflight in Norfolk?
English householder permitted development (Class C) normally covers rooflights that stand no more than 0.15 m proud of the roof plane and stay below the highest part of the roof.
Do you cover my area?
We survey and fit across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Remote and island addresses are by arrangement — send your postcode and we will confirm.
Can I cancel?
Made-to-measure products are excluded from the statutory 14-day cancellation right, but you can cancel without charge until we place the order with the manufacturer. Our terms explain the rest.
Will a rooflight make my room too hot?
It can on a south-facing roof with clear glass. Solar-control glass, an opening unit and a blind keep the room comfortable.
