What do bespoke & shaped rooflights in Derry/Londonderry involve?
We handle bespoke & shaped rooflights across County Londonderry, including Derry/Londonderry. In short: triangular, angled, curved and multi-pane rooflights made to measure. The survey checks structure, weathering and orientation, so the quote reflects your actual roof.
Bungalows are widespread in Northern Ireland, and sun tunnels or roof windows are an easy way to brighten internal hallways. Think of bespoke & shaped rooflights for angled ceilings, corners and architect-designed extensions.
We cover all of Derry/Londonderry and the BT48 district, and nearby Strabane and Limavady.

Do you need permission in Derry/Londonderry?
In Northern Ireland, roof alterations come under Class B of the 2015 order: a rooflight facing a road must not project more than 15 cm and must sit at least 0.5 m from the ridge, eaves, verge and party wall. A side-facing window within 15 m of a neighbouring boundary must be obscure-glazed, and non-opening unless the opening part is more than 1.7 m above the floor.
For homes in Northern Ireland, Technical Booklet F1 sets 1.6 W/m²K (or WER Band C) for replacement glazing including rooflights. Extensions follow a 25% glazing allowance in Technical Booklet F1.

Bespoke & shaped rooflights in Derry/Londonderry: questions
Why does bespoke take longer?
Each unit is drawn, checked and manufactured to order.
Can I cancel a bespoke order?
Made-to-measure goods are excluded from the statutory 14-day cancellation right. As a goodwill gesture you can cancel without charge until we place the order with the manufacturer, and we tell you in writing when that happens.
Do you need my architect's drawings?
They help. We still survey on site, because built openings rarely match drawings exactly.
Is the survey in Derry/Londonderry free?
Yes for new installations. Repair visits are charged, and we tell you the price before we book.
Do I need to be at home for the survey in Derry/Londonderry?
Yes — someone needs to let us into the room below and, where possible, show us how the roof is reached.
