Commercial & industrial rooflights in Thurso: what is involved?
Commercial & industrial rooflights in Thurso: by arrangement. In short, rooflights for warehouses, schools, offices and retail units. We confirm travel and timing before any survey is booked, then fix the price in writing.
Many Scottish homes have dormers and attic rooms where an extra roof window adds light without a full dormer. Commercial & industrial rooflights suit industrial roofs with tired or fragile rooflight sheets.
We cover Thurso by arrangement: travel, ferries and weather affect what is practical, so we confirm what we can offer before quoting.
Specification options
- GRP or polycarbonate in-plane rooflight sheets
- Smoke and natural ventilation vents

- Polycarbonate domes
- Mesh or grilles under fragile areas
- Smoke-vent options where needed
- Fall-protection planning included
Before you order: points to check
- Fragile rooflights are a known fall hazard — work at height must be planned
- Fire performance of rooflight materials matters near boundaries
Rules and responsibilities in Thurso
For non-domestic buildings, planning depends on the building and its location; building regulations cover thermal performance and the fire classification of rooflights near boundaries. Product data for building control is supplied with every quote.
For non-domestic buildings in Scotland, the non-domestic Technical Handbook (section 6) sets the energy standards for rooflights; we supply the manufacturer's data for the building warrant. Fragile-roof safety and access are planned before work starts.
See our building regulations guide for U-values, glazing limits and self-certification.
