How we approach conservation rooflights in Magherafelt
Conservation rooflights in Magherafelt means slim, low-profile steel-look rooflights for period and listed roofs. We cover the BT45 district and the rest of County Londonderry, with a survey before any price is fixed.
Bungalows are widespread in Northern Ireland, and sun tunnels or roof windows are an easy way to brighten internal hallways. Conservation rooflights suit slate and plain-tile roofs where a quiet roofline matters.
Magherafelt is around 53 km from Derry/Londonderry, and we survey and fit throughout that part of County Londonderry, including the BT45 district.

Consents for conservation rooflights in Magherafelt
Most rooflights on houses in Northern Ireland are permitted development under Class B, but not in a conservation area or on a listed building's curtilage. Listed buildings also need listed building consent from the council.
Northern Ireland's energy rules assess rooflight U-values in the vertical position — unlike England and Wales — and expect 1.6 W/m²K or Band C for replacements. New dwellings must average 1.40 W/m²K across windows, roof windows and rooflights.
Read the planning permission guide before you commit to a design.
