What do dome rooflights in Enfield involve?
Dome rooflights in Enfield means polycarbonate and acrylic domes for flat roofs, new or replacement. We cover the EN1 district and the rest of Greater London, with a survey before any price is fixed.
Party walls are a fact of life in London terraces, and rooflights close to a shared wall need detailing that keeps the neighbour's side dry too. Typical uses for dome rooflights include schools, flats and commercial flat roofs.
Enfield sits about 3 km from Edmonton and 5 km from Tottenham, and we cover the whole EN1 postcode district and the roads in between.

Regulations for dome rooflights in Enfield
On commercial roofs the main questions are usually building control, fire classification of rooflight materials and safe access rather than householder permitted development. We confirm the route for your building before ordering.
For buildings other than dwellings, Approved Document L Volume 2 sets limiting U-values of 2.2 W/m²K for rooflights and 3.0 W/m²K for roof ventilators, including smoke vents. Fragile-roof safety and access are planned before work starts.
See our building regulations guide for U-values, glazing limits and self-certification.

Questions about dome rooflights in Enfield
Why has my dome gone yellow?
UV breaks down older plastics over time. Modern domes have UV-protective layers, but all plastics age.
Can domes open?
Hinged and vented domes are available, manual or electric.
Can you replace just the dome?
Yes, if the upstand is sound and the size matches. Otherwise we replace both.
Do I need to be at home for the survey in Enfield?
Yes — someone needs to let us into the room below and, where possible, show us how the roof is reached.
Can you work alongside my builder in Enfield?
Yes. On new extensions we fit once the opening and upstand are ready and coordinate dates with your builder.
