What do dome rooflights in Caernarfon involve?
Our dome rooflights service in Caernarfon covers polycarbonate and acrylic domes for flat roofs, new or replacement. Every job starts with a survey of the opening, the roof covering and the room below, and a fixed written price.
Slate roofs, stone cottages and terraced valleys are typical across Wales, and slim rooflights that sit low in the slates suit them best. Think of dome rooflights for older flat roofs with yellowed or leaking domes.
Neighbouring towns include Llangefni (13 km) and Bangor, Gwynedd (13 km). We offer a survey date when we reply to your enquiry.

Building control and safety duties in Caernarfon
For non-domestic buildings, planning depends on the building and its location; building regulations cover thermal performance and the fire classification of rooflights near boundaries. Product data for building control is supplied with every quote.
For non-domestic buildings in Wales, Approved Document L sets limiting U-values for rooflights and roof ventilators; we supply the manufacturer's data for the building control submission. Fragile-roof safety and access are planned before work starts.

Common questions
Do domes leak?
Leaks are usually at the upstand seal or the membrane. Replacing the dome and resealing often fixes it.
Are domes safe to walk on?
No. Treat any rooflight as fragile unless it is specifically certified non-fragile, and never stand on it.
Why has my dome gone yellow?
UV breaks down older plastics over time. Modern domes have UV-protective layers, but all plastics age.
Do you fit dome rooflights in Caernarfon?
Yes. We survey and fit dome rooflights in Caernarfon and across Gwynedd. Send your postcode and we will offer a survey date when we reply.
Can you work alongside my builder in Caernarfon?
Yes. On new extensions we fit once the opening and upstand are ready and coordinate dates with your builder.
