How we approach dome rooflights in Llandrindod Wells
Dome rooflights in Llandrindod Wells means polycarbonate and acrylic domes for flat roofs, new or replacement. We cover the LD1 district and the rest of Powys, with a survey before any price is fixed.
Wales sees a lot of wind-driven rain, particularly in the west, so upstand height and flashing laps matter more than anywhere. Dome rooflights suit schools, flats and commercial flat roofs.
Jobs in Llandrindod Wells are planned around access: whether the roof can be reached from the garden, whether a hoist or crane is needed, and where we can park. We check this when we measure.

Building control and safety duties in Llandrindod Wells
On commercial roofs the main questions are usually building control, fire classification of rooflight materials and safe access rather than householder permitted development. We confirm the route for your building before ordering.
For non-domestic buildings in Wales, Approved Document L sets limiting U-values for rooflights and roof ventilators; we supply the manufacturer's data for the building control submission. Fire classification of rooflight materials near boundaries is checked at specification.

Can domes open?
Hinged and vented domes are available, manual or electric.
Are domes safe to walk on?
No. Treat any rooflight as fragile unless it is specifically certified non-fragile, and never stand on it.
Do domes leak?
Leaks are usually at the upstand seal or the membrane. Replacing the dome and resealing often fixes it.
