How we approach dome rooflights in Bedworth
Our dome rooflights service in Bedworth covers polycarbonate and acrylic domes for flat roofs, new or replacement. Every job starts with a survey of the opening, the roof covering and the room below, and a fixed written price.
Midlands housing is a mix of Victorian terraces, inter-war semis and newer estates, and rear kitchen extensions with flat rooflights are a common upgrade. Dome rooflights suit schools, flats and commercial flat roofs.
Jobs in Bedworth are planned around access: whether the roof can be reached from the garden, whether a hoist or crane is needed, and where we can park. We check this when we measure.

Rules and responsibilities in Bedworth
For non-domestic buildings, planning depends on the building and its location; building regulations cover thermal performance and the fire classification of rooflights near boundaries. Product data for building control is supplied with every quote.
For buildings other than dwellings, Approved Document L Volume 2 sets limiting U-values of 2.2 W/m²K for rooflights and 3.0 W/m²K for roof ventilators, including smoke vents. Fire classification of rooflight materials near boundaries is checked at specification.
Read the planning permission guide before you commit to a design.

Questions about dome rooflights in Bedworth
Do domes leak?
Leaks are usually at the upstand seal or the membrane. Replacing the dome and resealing often fixes it.
Why has my dome gone yellow?
UV breaks down older plastics over time. Modern domes have UV-protective layers, but all plastics age.
Can domes open?
Hinged and vented domes are available, manual or electric.
Can you work alongside my builder in Bedworth?
Yes. On new extensions we fit once the opening and upstand are ready and coordinate dates with your builder.
Do I need to be at home for the survey in Bedworth?
Yes — someone needs to let us into the room below and, where possible, show us how the roof is reached.
