How we approach dome rooflights in Cleckheaton
Our dome rooflights service in Cleckheaton covers polycarbonate and acrylic domes for flat roofs, new or replacement. Every job starts with a survey of the opening, the roof covering and the room below, and a fixed written price.
Converted barns and mills in Yorkshire often suit bespoke or ridge rooflights that follow the original structure. Dome rooflights suit schools, flats and commercial flat roofs.
Neighbouring towns include Brighouse (5 km) and Batley (6 km). We offer a survey date when we reply to your enquiry.

Building control and safety duties in Cleckheaton
On commercial roofs the main questions are usually building control, fire classification of rooflight materials and safe access rather than householder permitted development. Product data for building control is supplied with every quote.
For buildings other than dwellings, Approved Document L Volume 2 sets limiting U-values of 2.2 W/m²K for rooflights and 3.0 W/m²K for roof ventilators, including smoke vents. Fragile-roof safety and access are planned before work starts.

Common questions
Can domes open?
Hinged and vented domes are available, manual or electric.
Can you replace just the dome?
Yes, if the upstand is sound and the size matches. Otherwise we replace both.
Why has my dome gone yellow?
UV breaks down older plastics over time. Modern domes have UV-protective layers, but all plastics age.
Can you work alongside my builder in Cleckheaton?
Yes. On new extensions we fit once the opening and upstand are ready and coordinate dates with your builder.
Do you fit dome rooflights in Cleckheaton?
Yes. We survey and fit dome rooflights in Cleckheaton and across West Yorkshire. Send your postcode and we will offer a survey date when we reply.
