Commercial & industrial rooflights for Risca: the essentials
For Risca homes and buildings we offer commercial & industrial rooflights: rooflights for warehouses, schools, offices and retail units. We measure first, specify to the opening and confirm any planning or building-control points before quoting.
Many Welsh homes have older single-storey rear extensions where a glass rooflight brightens a dark kitchen. Think of commercial & industrial rooflights for warehouses, schools, offices and retail units.
Risca is around 7 km from Newport, Gwent, and we survey and fit throughout that part of Gwent, including the NP11 district.
What you can choose
- GRP or polycarbonate in-plane rooflight sheets
- Polycarbonate domes
- Continuous barrel-vault rooflights
- Mesh or grilles under fragile areas
- Modular glass rooflights
- Fall-protection planning included
- Barrel vaults, ridge lights and modular glass
Before you order: points to check
- Fragile rooflights are a known fall hazard — work at height must be planned
- Asbestos surveys may be needed on older roofs
Building control and safety duties in Risca
On commercial roofs the main questions are usually building control, fire classification of rooflight materials and safe access rather than householder permitted development. We confirm the route for your building before ordering.
For non-domestic buildings in Wales, Approved Document L sets limiting U-values for rooflights and roof ventilators; we supply the manufacturer's data for the building control submission. Fire classification of rooflight materials near boundaries is checked at specification.
See our building regulations guide for U-values, glazing limits and self-certification.
