Dome rooflights in Carrickfergus: what is involved?
Dome rooflights in Carrickfergus means polycarbonate and acrylic domes for flat roofs, new or replacement. We cover the BT38 district and the rest of County Antrim, with a survey before any price is fixed.
Bungalows are widespread in Northern Ireland, and sun tunnels or roof windows are an easy way to brighten internal hallways. Typical uses for dome rooflights include older flat roofs with yellowed or leaking domes.
Carrickfergus is around 15 km from Belfast, and we survey and fit throughout that part of County Antrim, including the BT38 district.

Regulations for dome rooflights in Carrickfergus
On commercial roofs the main questions are usually building control, fire classification of rooflight materials and safe access rather than householder permitted development. Product data for building control is supplied with every quote.
For non-domestic buildings in Northern Ireland, Technical Booklet F2 covers energy performance; we supply the manufacturer's data for building control. Fragile-roof safety and access are planned before work starts.

Dome rooflights in Carrickfergus: questions
Are domes safe to walk on?
No. Treat any rooflight as fragile unless it is specifically certified non-fragile, and never stand on it.
Can you replace just the dome?
Yes, if the upstand is sound and the size matches. Otherwise we replace both.
Should I replace a dome or switch to glass?
A dome is cheaper and quick; glass gives a clear view and better performance. On a tight budget, or a commercial roof with many units, domes remain sensible.
Do I need to be at home for the survey in Carrickfergus?
Yes — someone needs to let us into the room below and, where possible, show us how the roof is reached.
Do you fit dome rooflights in Carrickfergus?
Yes. We survey and fit dome rooflights in Carrickfergus and across County Antrim. Send your postcode and we will offer a survey date when we reply.
