How we approach dome rooflights in Castlereagh
Dome rooflights in Castlereagh means polycarbonate and acrylic domes for flat roofs, new or replacement. We cover the BT5 district and the rest of County Down, with a survey before any price is fixed.
Northern Ireland has a mix of terraces, bungalows and rural farmhouses, and rooflights are a common upgrade when extending. In Castlereagh, as anywhere, dome rooflights are the usual choice for schools, flats and commercial flat roofs.
From Castlereagh to Belfast, Newtownabbey and Lisburn, the same survey-first process applies: measure, specify, fix the price, then fit.

Things we check at survey

Rules and responsibilities in Castlereagh
For non-domestic buildings, planning depends on the building and its location; building regulations cover thermal performance and the fire classification of rooflights near boundaries. We confirm the route for your building before ordering.
For non-domestic buildings in Northern Ireland, Technical Booklet F2 covers energy performance; we supply the manufacturer's data for building control. Fire classification of rooflight materials near boundaries is checked at specification.

Common questions
Why has my dome gone yellow?
UV breaks down older plastics over time. Modern domes have UV-protective layers, but all plastics age.
Do domes leak?
Leaks are usually at the upstand seal or the membrane. Replacing the dome and resealing often fixes it.
Can domes open?
Hinged and vented domes are available, manual or electric.
How do I book a survey in Castlereagh?
Send your postcode and, if you can, a photo of the roof and the room. We offer a survey date when we reply.
Can you work alongside my builder in Castlereagh?
Yes. On new extensions we fit once the opening and upstand are ready and coordinate dates with your builder.
