How we approach dome rooflights in Blackburn
We handle dome rooflights across Lancashire, including Blackburn. In short: polycarbonate and acrylic domes for flat roofs, new or replacement. The survey checks structure, weathering and orientation, so the quote reflects your actual roof.
Exposed hillside towns in the North West need flashing and seal details that cope with wind-driven rain. Think of dome rooflights for schools, flats and commercial flat roofs.
Neighbouring towns include Darwen (6 km) and Accrington (8 km). We offer a survey date when we reply to your enquiry.

Rules and responsibilities in Blackburn
For non-domestic buildings, planning depends on the building and its location; building regulations cover thermal performance and the fire classification of rooflights near boundaries. We confirm the route for your building before ordering.
For buildings other than dwellings, Approved Document L Volume 2 sets limiting U-values of 2.2 W/m²K for rooflights and 3.0 W/m²K for roof ventilators, including smoke vents. Fragile-roof safety and access are planned before work starts.
See our building regulations guide for U-values, glazing limits and self-certification.
