Dome rooflights in Merthyr Tydfil: questions
Are domes safe to walk on?
No. Treat any rooflight as fragile unless it is specifically certified non-fragile, and never stand on it.
Do domes leak?
Leaks are usually at the upstand seal or the membrane. Replacing the dome and resealing often fixes it.
Can you replace just the dome?
Yes, if the upstand is sound and the size matches. Otherwise we replace both.
Can you work alongside my builder in Merthyr Tydfil?
Yes. On new extensions we fit once the opening and upstand are ready and coordinate dates with your builder.
Do I need to be at home for the survey in Merthyr Tydfil?
Yes — someone needs to let us into the room below and, where possible, show us how the roof is reached.
