Commercial & industrial rooflights for Lerwick: the essentials
Commercial & industrial rooflights in Lerwick: by arrangement. In short, rooflights for warehouses, schools, offices and retail units. We confirm travel and timing before any survey is booked, then fix the price in writing.
Many Scottish homes have dormers and attic rooms where an extra roof window adds light without a full dormer. Typical uses for commercial & industrial rooflights include warehouses, schools, offices and retail units.
We cover Lerwick by arrangement: travel, ferries and weather affect what is practical, so we confirm what we can offer before quoting.

- Fragile rooflights are a known fall hazard — work at height must be planned
- Asbestos surveys may be needed on older roofs
Regulations for commercial & industrial rooflights in Lerwick
On commercial roofs the main questions are usually building control, fire classification of rooflight materials and safe access rather than householder permitted development. Product data for building control is supplied with every quote.
For non-domestic buildings in Scotland, the non-domestic Technical Handbook (section 6) sets the energy standards for rooflights; we supply the manufacturer's data for the building warrant. Fire classification of rooflight materials near boundaries is checked at specification.

For occupied buildings we can plan phased or out-of-hours working where access allows.
Do you supply O&M information?
Yes — product data, manufacturer warranties and maintenance notes are handed over at completion.
Do you fit commercial & industrial rooflights in Lerwick?
By arrangement. Lerwick is a remote or island location, so send your postcode and photos and we will confirm what we can offer before any survey is booked.
Do I need to be at home for the survey in Lerwick?
Yes — someone needs to let us into the room below and, where possible, show us how the roof is reached.
