Bespoke & shaped rooflights in Dinas Powys means triangular, angled, curved and multi-pane rooflights made to measure. We cover the CF64 district and the rest of South Glamorgan, with a survey before any price is fixed.

Consents for bespoke & shaped rooflights in Dinas Powys
Planning rules in Wales are tighter than in England for rooflights: Class C rights do not apply in conservation areas, National Parks or AONBs, so a rooflight there needs planning permission. Listed buildings need listed building consent from the council, and flats have no householder permitted development rights.
Welsh Building Regulations expect new or replacement rooflights to reach 2.2 W/m²K and roof windows 1.4 W/m²K or a Band B rating. A revised Welsh Approved Document L takes effect on 4 March 2027; rooflights in new dwellings stay at 2.2 W/m²K.
See our building regulations guide for U-values, glazing limits and self-certification.

Questions about bespoke & shaped rooflights in Dinas Powys
Do you need my architect's drawings?
They help. We still survey on site, because built openings rarely match drawings exactly.
Can any shape be made?
Most straight-edged shapes can be made in glass, within the manufacturer's size and angle limits. Curved glass is possible but specialist.
Can I cancel a bespoke order?
Made-to-measure goods are excluded from the statutory 14-day cancellation right. As a goodwill gesture you can cancel without charge until we place the order with the manufacturer, and we tell you in writing when that happens.
Do I need to be at home for the survey in Dinas Powys?
Yes — someone needs to let us into the room below and, where possible, show us how the roof is reached.
Do you offer bespoke & shaped rooflights in Dinas Powys?
Yes. We carry out bespoke & shaped rooflights in Dinas Powys and across South Glamorgan. Send your postcode and we will offer a survey date when we reply.
