What do frameless structural rooflights in Llanelli involve?
Frameless structural rooflights in Llanelli means minimal glass rooflights with no visible frame from inside. We cover the SA15 district and the rest of Dyfed, with a survey before any price is fixed.
Many Welsh homes have older single-storey rear extensions where a glass rooflight brightens a dark kitchen. Think of frameless structural rooflights for architect-led extensions and long slots of light over islands or along party walls.
We cover all of Llanelli and the SA15 district, and nearby Gorseinon and Swansea.

Consents for frameless structural rooflights in Llanelli
In Wales a rooflight on a house is usually permitted development if it stands no more than 15 cm proud of the roof, except on protected land such as conservation areas and National Parks, where permission is needed. A side-facing rooflight within 10.5 m of the boundary must be obscure-glazed, and non-opening unless the opening part is more than 1.7 m above the floor.
In Wales the limiting values are 2.2 W/m²K for a rooflight and 1.4 W/m²K (or WER Band B) for a roof window in an existing house. A revised Welsh Approved Document L takes effect on 4 March 2027; rooflights in new dwellings stay at 2.2 W/m²K.
